New Year's Resolution...:)
As they say, its better late than never…so here comes my
this year’s list of “New Year resolutions” And I am hoping to stick to it no matter
what..:D
1.
Learning atleast one language apart from the
commonly spoken Hindi and English has always been my dream. And do not think I
have never worked to make it come true. I had Mandarin as one of my subjects
during my MBA but I could hardly remember anything other than “ni hao ma…” and
hence Mandarin is completely out of question.
I also did join a German class when I was in Infy and went for a couple
of classes too. But the ability of not being able to continue with the same
initial zeal and eventually just lose it completely made me look into the
loophole in my plan. So, I have figured out what I need is atleast one friend
of mine to be doing this with me, for the fun of watching somebody else suffer
along with me might add a little perseverance to my attitude. On a serious
note for somebody to be there to practice it with me. So, it is not just about
learning German it is also about making someone learn German along with me,
someone who can push me to keep learning it :)
2.
Sports have always been my thing, and after a
short stint in box cricket and badminton with my college friends I can kind of
swear on it. My next target is to be able to play good TT. Not that I do not
know how to play TT, if you just keep the rules aside, I can manage the ball to
be on the table. But in order to pursue all round excellence I thought I might better add this to my list
;)
3.
Learn to swim, this is just to learn a new
activity and since the pool in my society makes it most convenient and
economical to learn. Have already started working on it by convincing my
flatmate to be my teacher…:)
4.
Follow workout regime religiously, the only
thing that I think makes me pay so much rent for my flat in this society is the
gym and pool facilities. So I better use it to make it less regretful at the end of every month :)
Now it is just the first draft of The List and
I believe in giving myself some flexibility to kind of add or subtract a few
activities depending on either mood or convenience after all the sole purpose
of "New Year’s Resolutions" is to make ourselves happy….:):)
