Piyush Piyo!
Piyush
Piyo! When I
heard this I was a little puzzled, then I got to know that it is a Maharashtrian
drink for summers. Since its summers, I thought let me just give it a try. I am
happy I tried that. More than me my 7 month old loved that. The best part is it
is really easy to prepare. It’s a no cook recipe and I love theseJ
Ingredients-
Plain/Elaichi/Kesar
Shrikhand 200gms
Fresh Curd(should
not be sour)- 1.5 cups
Cold Milk
as required, I added ¾ cup
Sugar- 3
tablespoons
Cardamom/Elaichi
powder-1/2 teaspoon
Nutmeg/Jaiphal
powder- ¼ teaspoon
Kesar/Saffron
strands and dry fruits to garnish, I used sliced pistachios to garnish.
Preparation-
- Mix Shrikhand, Curd, Sugar, Cardamom and Nutmeg. Mix it thoroughly, so that the sugar dissolves completely. You can add less or more sugar as per your taste.
- Add milk to make the consistency as that of a smoothie. You can have a more runny consistency as well, for that, add little more milk.
- Pour it in glasses. Garnish with dry fruits and kesar.
- Serve it cold. You can even add some ice to it.
