Piyush Piyo!

Piyush Piyo!  When I heard this I was a little puzzled, then I got to know that it is a Maharashtrian drink for summers. Since its summers, I thought let me just give it a try. I am happy I tried that. More than me my 7 month old loved that. The best part is it is really easy to prepare. It’s a no cook recipe and I love theseJ

Ingredients-

Plain/Elaichi/Kesar Shrikhand 200gms
Fresh Curd(should not be sour)- 1.5 cups
Cold Milk as required, I added ¾ cup
Sugar- 3 tablespoons
Cardamom/Elaichi powder-1/2 teaspoon
Nutmeg/Jaiphal powder- ¼ teaspoon
Kesar/Saffron strands and dry fruits to garnish, I used sliced pistachios to garnish.

Preparation-
  1.          Mix Shrikhand, Curd, Sugar, Cardamom and Nutmeg. Mix it thoroughly, so that the sugar dissolves completely. You can add less or more sugar as per your taste.
  2.          Add milk to make the consistency as that of a smoothie. You can have a more runny consistency as well, for that, add little more milk.
  3.          Pour it in glasses. Garnish with dry fruits and kesar.
  4.          Serve it cold. You can even add some ice to it.
