Day 2....#30DaysHealth Challenge




 


Day 2 was yet another exciting day where I was looking forward to rummage through the contents of my fridge,which by the way have now been stuffed with veggies and fruits, to decide on today's menu. It was as exciting as when I come across a good cookie recipe and is too eager to try it asap.

Breakfast- Overnight Oats, half an apple and Paneer Stuffed roti. I am a big stuffed-parantha lover, may be comes from the fact that I was born in Punjab and spent sometime there.But due to this challenge I decided to chuck oil or butter and instead went for the Roti version of it.

Mid morning snacks- Banana and Nariyal Paani.

Lunch- Capsicum besan bhaaji, Boiled Chana+Tomato+Beetroot salad(used fresh curd for dressing), Buttermilk and Paneer Stuffed Rotis. Buttermilk and Nariyal Paani are my most favorite drinks and you cannot debate against the nutrition factor of these two. Capsicum besan bhaji is a maharashtrian dish, you can google the recipe if interested. It is a good option if you are looking for a high protein recipe.

Evening snacks- Roasted Makhana and a glass of milk.

Dinner- Lauki Masoor daal and Chapati.

Morning walk again disrupted by drizzle, so did 20min Aerobics.

Lot of people are asking me why are you doing this. So to answer them, losing some post pregnancy weight is definitely on my list. But apart from that I just want to get back to a healthy regime be it in terms of food or exercise. 3years back a doctor told me after looking at my blood test reports that if I continue with the same lifestyle I would definitely be having some cholesterol or sugar problems in future. I do not think I have made much improvement on that front. Seeing so many young people around me already suffering from so many health issues, gives me another push.
