Day 4....#30DayHealth Challenge
Day 4 was little exhausting as my baby decide to get up early today and cling on to me the entire time:( So my workout plan went out of the window. But I managed to do some 10-15min stretching exercises in the evening.
Breakfast- Besan Cheela, Milk with dry fruits+ flax seeds+Protein Powder, Apple and Banana
Mid Morning Snack- Sattu as a sweet and savory drink(I added 3tablespoons Sattu in 1glass of water, some honey n half a teaspoon salt). Sattu is nothing but roasted chana flour and is high on nutrition. You can have it in many ways, stuff it in parantha or roti, have a sweet or savory drink add lime or mint or coriander leaves to the drink for flavor.
Lunch- Ragi Bhakris, Plain Chaach(I just added roasted jeera powder to the curd), Baigan Bharta, Sprout Salad(with beetroot and tomato) and some moong masoor mix daal.
Evening snacks- Roasted Makhana
Dinner- Daal, spring onion aaloo bhaaji and Roti(sorry forgot to take this pic today:))
Lot of people are asking me what is the challenge here if you are eating such delicious looking food. First of all I am neither trying to starve nor trying to deprive myself of something. Deprivation only leads to desperation which only ends up in hogging. I have tried this and failed badly. N who says that healthy looking food has to look boring. Plus if you follow a certain diet say GM or Keto they might show drastic results but those cannot be part of your lifestyle hence the results would not be long lasting. I am trying to have normal home cooked food with more focus on nutrition factor and trying to support it with an exercise routine. I agree with Rutuja Diwakar a lot in this aspect that you can maintain healthy eating habits by eating our very own Indian home cooked food. Its easy to incorporate and it can be part of your lifestyle forever. Having said that, to each his own, this is just what I believe in.
